IDANCE PHYSIO WORKSHOP on 26.09.2025 at the Music and Arts University Vienna (MUK) from the B.A. Contemporary and Classical Dance study

It was a pleasure to work with 38 students from grades 1-4 to support their dance health and injury prevention 🙏
During this Workshop we try to focus on the question - what keeps you grounded, what sets your movement free?
We dive into the fundamentals of body alignment as a key to greater presence, efficiency and expression in dance.
Through dance anatomical theory impacts and targeted exercises focused on posture, alignment and body awareness, the students learn how to move with more clarity, release unnecessary tension and enhance their physical articulation.
Together we strive to go deeper – toward greater lightness, precision and presence in every movement – as tools to support injury prevention, optimize dance technical performance and promote artistic aesthetics.

As a former professional dancer turned physiotherapist, I know firsthand the physical demands of dance - and how crucial proper care is for performance and injury prevention.
Now, I help dancers move better and recover smarter, so they can keep doing what they love at their highest level.

Because prevention is just as powerful as performance. By incorporating physio principles into class, dancers build strength, body awareness and injury resilience. Dance injury prevention should be as important as the recovery of an injury! 🙏
